The First 36 Project

The First 36 Project is a program developed by Simms/Mann Institute, in partnership with Builders of Jewish Education (BJE) and The Jewish Federation of Greater LA.

The CO Jewish ECE Initiative is the first community outside of Los Angeles to be implementing this innovative project.

The First 36 Project provides a group of educators who work with parents and their young children, with a professional development experience designed to amplify their ability to support parents as they build strong, meaningful bonds with their children.

The Fellows become a Community of Practice (CoP), meeting every 4-6 weeks for facilitated cohort-based learning experiences and receive 1:1 coaching/consultation, including class visits, observation and feedback. Fellows gain access to a variety of Institute resources, including curriculum modules that integrate the latest in child development theory with cutting-edge neuroscience research related to children ages 0-3. In addition, they will attend the Simms/Mann Institute Think Tank (November 2019). Launched January 2019.
